David Gartler started Poster Plus, a public gallery in 1969 selling original posters. Poster conservation began in 1975 coincident with the rediscovery and exhibition of Chicago area transit posters of the 1920s. Linen Backing is a service provided to collectors, galleries and museums for the care and preservation of posters. Special exhibitons have included rail posters, Chicago electric rail posters, circus posters, military posters etc. .
