About

The National Print Museum in Dublin is Ireland's only museum dedicated to the art, craft, and history of printing. It is housed in the former Garrison Chapel of Beggars Bush Barracks in Dublin 4 and opened in 1996.

The museum focuses on letterpress and relief printing, tracing the story from Johannes Gutenberg's invention in the 1400s to modern print technology. Its working collection includes over 10,000 artefacts such as presses, movable type, blocks, tools, books, posters, and ephemera, arranged like an operational print shop.
