IVPDA Membership

Membership is open to dealers, businesses or individuals that deal in original vintage posters and have a good reputation for honesty, maintaining high ethical standards, expertise and professional integrity in dealings with the public, museums and other dealers. Applications to join the Association under one of the following categories may be made with the sponsorship of two current IVPDA members: 

Full Members 

Any individual, partnership, corporation or other business entity whose business is dealing in original posters and who shall be invited to apply for membership by two members of the Association and who meets the following qualifications shall be eligible for membership in the Association: (a) The member shall have been in existence dealing with original posters for at least five years. (b) The member shall have either a physical or virtual location where original posters can be shown or where the dealer may be contacted. (c) The member shall have a good reputation for honesty, maintaining high ethical standards, expertise and professional integrity in dealings with the public, museums and other dealers. (d) The member shall, in the opinion of the Association, have established itself as an "original poster dealer" and as such has been and is making a substantial contribution to the cultural life of the community by the nature of the works offered for sale, and through participation in worthwhile shows and exhibitions.

Affiliate Educational Members 

The Affiliate Education Member’s major endeavor is the education of the public about vintage posters through exhibition, or with the authorship and/or production of scholarly literature specific to the field of vintage posters. This member does not operate a retail business for sale to the public of such posters.
