International Poster Gallery has been a preeminent source for rare and important original posters since 1994. We feature fine advertising posters from 1890 to the present, specializing in Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modernist masterpieces from France, Italy, Switzerland, Soviet Union, U.S. and around the globe. Specialties include travel, skiing and winter sport, food, beverage, fashion, war, propaganda, and the arts. Owner Jim Lapides studied Italian art at Yale and in Italy, where he fell in love with Italian posters.

After 23 years on Boston's famed Newbury Street, the Gallery moved in 2017 to SoWa, Boston's vibrant Art and Design district in the South End. In November 2023, International Poster closed its retail gallery operation and is now dealing virtually.
